In taking hands with MAD through your monthly debit order donation you are enabling us
to grow a strong, healthy and confidant tree that can withstand the challenges of life. In our
aim to develop the leaders of tomorrow we have firm roots, and in the words of Francois Pienaar,
Founding Chairman of MAD "We require the MAD learners to undergo extensive psychometric
testing to get into the Education Programme and they are actively encouraged, through leadership
courses and one-on-one mentoring, to go beyond their comfort zones and challenge their own
expectations and limitations. This takes enormous courage and trust on their part and it is often
a humbling experience to be in their company.”
The MAD Future Tree is rooted to be sustainable and strong which will enable the Future Tree
to branch out and reach its potential and beyond. The roots of the MAD Future tree represent:
• Scientifically selecting deserving beneficiaries and maintain holistic education programmes
• Evaluating and monitoring the progress of our beneficiaries and programmes
• Dynamic fundraising initiatives both locally and abroad
• Creatively networking with influential companies and institutions
• Maintain a 10% - 15% administration cost to income ratio – 85% - 90% of all money
received go directly to the aid of the beneficiaries
• Consistently apply excellent Corporate Governance
• Build a legacy that we can be proud of.
Since inception, MAD has touched the lives of over 2000 learners and this has been possible through the continuous support of our loyal sponsors, donors and fundraising event supporters. In developing the leaders of tomorrow, we are building a legacy of young leaders making a difference in their communities.
